bayscapes is a photographic project by Andy Mortimer producing stunning limited edition digital prints and cards. The canvas prints are ideal for home or workplace and the greeting cards are suitable for all occasions.

Andy Mortimer lives in Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria, overlooking Morecambe Bay. He trained as a painter and art teacher at Newcastle University and also holds a degree in Art History from the Courtauld Institute in London. He taught art in Cumbria and was involved in the arts and art education nationally and internationally for many years before retiring to concentrate on his own work in 2008.

Through his new interest in digital photography, Andy has returned to exploring colour, shape, texture and tone in the landscape. The images he produces are not about describing a particular view or about telling a story. They try to capture a broader sense of place or moment. They reflect the constant changes of light, of surface and mood that are the essence of an environment.

Photographs are printed as high quality prints on canvas so that the immediacy and scale of the image are important elements in the finished work. They are available to buy or hire, in selected sizes, framed or unframed.
